Clinical Enterprise Model Program
funded by Caring for Colorado Foundation and Parkview Medical Center

The program will focus on providing care to the uninsured working class poor in our community as well as assisting in meeting the nursing shortage. The Model will also be an integral part of the CSU-Pueblo Department of Nursing effort to reinvent nursing education to meet the needs of the 21st Century. By doing their clinical training at the Model the students will get involved in real-life, hands on community health projects. The Clinical Enterprise Model moves the curriculum beyond the traditional classroom; it is an exceptional site for community-based clinical learning. Measures will involve an extensive evaluation of provider and service impact on health risk behaviors and prevention strategies.
