Ruth DePalma RN, MSN is a tenured Associate Professor and the Undergraduate Nursing Program Coordinator. She has over 25 years experience teaching in a variety of generic and RN to BSN baccalaureate nursing programs. Professor DePalma received her BSN from John Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland and her MSN, with an emphasis in Community and Family Nursing from the University of Florida in Gainsville. She has vast experience in curriculum evaluation and development including outreach programs.

Currently Professor DePalma holds a joint appointment with the local school district where she serves as their nursing coordinator and consultant for health issues.

She has been instrumental in implementing computerization of the student health information including immunization, vision and hearing records. Her program with the school district has been recognized nationally as a model for student clinical placement. Students under Professor DePalma's guidance gain valuable experience with a variety of age groups in community settings.
