Curriculum Plan

A student must complete 124 credit hours in order to graduate with a BSMET degree. This program can be completed in four years (eight semesters) by a student going to school on a full-time basis. Since many of the courses build on each other, it is important that the courses are taken in the proper order. This is similar to the construction of a house which begins with the foundation, progresses to floor and walls and finally is completed when the roof is put on. The following listing shows a sample curriculum that accomplishes this goal.

Instructions: To view a course's prerequisites, put your mouse on it. If your mouse pointer has a question mark on it, then the course has prerequisites, you may click to highlight these. The course you have clicked on will be highlighted in manila color, while any requisites will be highlighted in light blue. Double-click on any course to find its catalog description.

This curriculum allows students to choose four MET/technical elective courses which are intended to let students pursue their special interests in mechanical design, fluid mechanics, stress analysis, instrumentation, manufacturing, or management with advanced courses beyond the basics required of all MET students.

While the faculty and other personnel of the CSU-Pueblo make every effort to guide you through your course of study with as few delays as possible, it is you - the student - who is ultimately responsible for meeting all graduation requirements in a timely fashion. These web pages are intended to help you in your planning process and provide the necessary guidance. To make things even easier for you to plan you course of study we have provided copies of the spread sheets that your academic advisors use to track your progress for you to download. There are several versions tracking changes in the MET program over time:
