I.  Course Overview

Practical application of environmental practices and procedures pertinent to preservation, protection, compliance and conservation issues related to facilities management with emphasis on:

A.     The regulatory and permitting process

B.     Environmental planning, auditing and assessment

C.    Recycling, Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) and Ozone Level Depleting Substances (OLDS)

D.    Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) programs and permitting procedures

E.     Occupational Health and Safety Act (OSHA) programs

F.     Sustainable practices

 

II.  Course Objectives

After completing the course, students will have a basic understanding of and be able to effectively demonstrate entry level skills in:

A.     Environmental programming, permitting, inspections, assessments and audits

B.     IAQ, recycling and OLDS program management

C.    Sustainable Practices

E.    EPA and OSHA environmental regulations
